Primavera in the Gardens
15th Annual Primavera in the Gardens and the Gardens 50th Anniversary
Food & Wine Tasting Fundraiser, May 19th, 2013, 2:00 - 5:00 PM
An annual fund-raising event, Primavera in the Gardens wine and food tasting has become an overnight success. This year we also celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Gardens!
Tickets are $60 per person by advance purchase and $70 at the gate (cash/check only).
There is a $5.00 parking fee (no charge with UC Parking Permit). A trolley will be available to escort guests to the Botanic Gardens entrance.
Imagine yourself in an idyllic garden setting - sampling delicious appetizers and tasting terrific regional wines surrounded by pleasant conversation and the sounds of live music ~ This is PRIMAVERA IN THE GARDENS!
Tantalizing appetizers are provided by wonderful restaurants and caterers from all over Riverside. Past participants have included Anchos, Antones, Cafe Sevilla, Ciao Bella, Gerard's Eve Bistro, Gra-Pow, Jammin' Bread, Mario's Place, Simple Simon's, Smokey Canyon BBQ, Phood on Main, Table for Two, Tin Lizzy's Cookie Factory, UCR Dining Services and Coffee Roasters.
Wines are proffered by regional vineyards and wineries. Past participants have included BevMo! Corona, Callaway Vineyard & Winery, Canyon Crest Winery, Falkner Winery, Galleano Winery, Hart Winery, Joseph Filippi Winery & Vineyard, Keyways Vineyard & Winery, Lorenzi's, Oak Mt. Winery, and South Coast Winery and Resort, as well as craft beers from Hangar 24 Craft Brewery, BJ's and Inland Empire Brewery.
In addition, there will be the excitement of a Silent Auction, featuring dozens of garden-related items.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Botanic Gardens' many deserving projects, including hosting thousands of touring school children each year.
