Tour the San Diego Botanic Gardens!

Each Spring the Friends of UCR Botanic Gardens tour a nearby arboretum or garden. In recent years we have visited the Huntington Gardens, Fullerton Arboretum, Getty Center, and Descano Gardens.
This year we will be touring the San Diego Botanical Gardens. The San Diego Botanic Garden features rare bamboo groves, desert gardens, a tropical rainforest, California native plants, Mediterranean climate landscapes and much more!
The bus will depart from the Newman Center Catholic Church on Saturday, March 23. Meet at the bus at 8:00 AM, we will be returning by 4:00 PM. Morning coffee will be available on the bus. Beverages and snacks served on the way home.
A docent-led tour is scheduled for 10:30 AM and Picnic Lunch at 12 noon. There will be plenty of time to explore the Gardens on your own.
